Biography

Harry Bauer portrayed the "Hunter" in the 1973 horror film Warlock Moon, a brief but memorable supporting role as a local woodsman who encounters the protagonists at the abandoned Soda Springs Spa and shares eerie backstory about the site's cannibalistic history before meeting a gruesome end at the hands of the film's ax-wielding antagonist. Like his co-star Edna MacAfee, Bauer was a non-professional or semi-professional performer drawn from the Bay Area's community theater scene to add authenticity to the low-budget production, which was filmed in Northern California locations including the ghost town of Rhyolite and the Napa Valley.
