An entire TV show about school bullying. Performances are ok, but there is very little to recommend here as it's been done a thousand times before.
Read full reviewWhat a masterpiece. Weak Hero is a rare 10/10 where not a single second is wasted. Unlike cringe high school romances, this is a raw, brutal look at the cycle of violence, friendship, and the sting of betrayal. Park Ji-hoon’s performance is chilling—seeing a 'weak' student use his brain and surroundings to dismantle bullies is incredibly satisfying. It’s fast-paced, emotionally heavy, and absolutely essential viewing. You must be a very heartless and boring person to not be moved by this story. Beyond the acting, this show proves why Korean media is lightyears ahead of the West right now. While Hollywood is busy ruining every franchise with forced diversity, 'box-ticking' agendas, and corporate crap that kills the soul of the story, Korea focuses on what actually matters: the plot and the characters. They don’t lecture you or try to be 'inclusive' just for the sake of a trend; they just tell a damn good, gritty story. It’s a complete, tight arc that doesn't drag on for 50 seasons of filler. If you want real quality without the Western 'identity' garbage, this is the gold standard."
